At Deer Hollow Recovery and Wellness Centers we honor the opportunity to be a part of our clients journey on the path to recovery. Our Team of dedicated staff members has been constructed from a variety of clinical backgrounds, and many of us have personally trekked through the arduous course of recovery ourselves. We believe that through this combination of life experiences we offer a unique sympathy and compassion towards every client that comes in our doors.

Our Owner

Owner - Troy Long
Troy loves his beautiful wife Phadre and his family. Troy enjoys fly fishing, fast cars and serving his community. His extensive personal experience in the field of recovery has driven him to help others. He hardly sleeps while on the quest to support the never ending need of saving the still suffering alcoholic. Troys life and career has been built on passion and the love for others that is endless. He has a personal drive for success that is rarely rivaled. He personally takes the time to engage with every client that arrives at Deer Hollow Recovery Centers. Troy is memorable, a Father figure to many, and a true gentleman to all.

Genevieve Mannor - Executive Director
Genevieve has been in the healthcare industry for 12 years, with a majority of that focused in behavioral health. She received her degree in social work from Oregon State University. Genevieve has a unique devotion to help people. She has held various positions nationally with marketing, program development, and hospital administration. Genevieve eventually partnered on developing a residential military program to promote and educate active duty military and their families. This is where she found fulfillment working with individuals suffering from trauma and addiction. Genevieve is now using her experience to work for a company that aligns with her passion, integrity and loyalty to help those in need. 
Dr. Timothy J. Schaat, MD - Medical Director 
Dr. Tim Schaat is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Addiction Medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine and has worked in the Salt Lake area for many years. He has his own private practice, as well as, experience in both residential and outpatient treatment. On top of his extensive work experience, Dr. Schaat continues to be involved in medical research. By remaining current in the most up to date and relevant medical research, Dr. Schaat is able to provide compassionate, quality and cutting edge care to his patients at Deer Hollow.

Erica Peterson, BSN, RN - Administrator/Director of Nursing
Erica graduated with honors from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing. She also graduated with honors from the University of North Florida with a Bachelor’s of Science in Athletic Training. Although Erica has experience working with various populations, her specialty lies with those suffering from mental illness and/or addiction.
Erica developed a passion caring for individuals who struggle with behavioral health early on in her career. She is excited to be working in a setting where she can help guide those individuals to a life of recovery, as well as contribute her experience in state licensing and Joint Commission accreditation.
Amy Crawford - Clinical Director
Amy Crawford, PhD, LMFT has been in the field of mental health and addiction medicine for the last 16 years. Throughout this journey, trauma has become her passion and specialty. She has spent the majority of her career treating the invisible wounds of trauma in varied settings with a focus on Military Service Members and First Responders. Amy has had the honor of witnessing over 4,000 trauma accounts. She is certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, EMDR, MBSR and is a Registered Yoga Teacher. Amy is in the process of getting her Doctor of Traditional Naturopathy to better understand how natural healing; herbal medicine and nutrition can play an integral role in helping mental wellness. Amy is wildly passionate about the work she gets to do and loves holding the hope for others while they step into their healing and recovery.

Sloane Rampton - Outpatient Clinical Director
Sloane is an LCSW that's been in the field since 2009. She's been working in mental health however since 2004. She received her degree from the University of Utah in social work. Her main focus in dual-diagnosis treatment. She's worked with children through the geriatric, but has chosen to focus mainly on adult populations. She has been focused primarily on outpatient where she's helped to create 3 IOP programs.
